Sunday Services at 8:30am | 10:30am

Welcome to the Weekly Word!

July 30 - Pastor Zach

I have an encouragement for you from Psalm 19, along with some fun updates, and a request for you to help with on Sundays.

Psalm 19:1-2
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.

This summer I have been enjoying the beauty of God’s creation and resting in the truth that God is on His throne. Reflecting on the proof of the power of God brings us peace. Control and fear are such big components of our lives – it’s forced on us by media and whispered to us by the enemy. When we go through transitions or challenges, we run to fear and lose focus on who our God is. He spoke to create everything we know – out of nothing. He isn’t restricted by time or limited in power. He is never surprised. He is never afraid. He never fails. He is on His throne with sovereignty over everything as He always has been and always will be.

So take a moment - sit outside, watch the sunset, go to the lake, watch the stars – rest into the fact of our glorious, powerful God. Enjoy the beauty of His creation and trust Him to keep being God... because He is really good at it.

Kids Camp
Kids Camp this week – wow! It has been incredible. I am so impressed by the team that did the decorating and the volunteers that worked with the kids all week. Our kids ministry staff – including Pastor Lisa, Abby, Katherine, and Megan – organized and prepared so well for this week. It really is the culmination of months of work, and it has been a blast to see each night! Kids have praised Jesus, learned about God’s character, and His love for them.

Last night our team shared the gospel and 14 kids put their trust in Jesus as their Savior for the first time!

That is 14 kids who have now had their eternity altered and the direction of theirs lives will be forever different. They now have the Spirit of God leading them and sanctifying them. They are the one more who has been reached and restored into a relationship with Jesus!

Thank you to everyone who helped make Kids Camp possible! Personally, my children have loved it and have grown in their faith this week. Thank you!

Parking on Sundays
Thanks for your patience as we figure out the new space. As we anticipated with opening the new building, our attendance is significantly higher than last summer. This time of year is usually our slower season, so we’ll continue to keep an eye on it as things pick up in the fall.

Here is how you can help – there is space in the parking lot and Sanctuary during first service. If you have been coming to the 10:30, would you consider switching to the 8:30 to make room for one more?

Man Night
This coming Monday night (Aug 3, 7pm) is our first Man Night at the new building. This night is a discipleship focus for building up Christlike masculinity. We will worship together, hear a message on one of the attributes of a Mighty Man, and encourage one another.

All men are invited to come to this. I will be speaking on the 7th attribute of a Mighty Man of God: I will stand firm in God’s truth, resisting compromise, and the lies of the world.

This Sunday’s Message
We’ll be in part 3 of our teaching Series – What’s in a Name? – studying the names of God revealed in Scripture. This week we will discuss one that I believe will deeply resonate with all of us. Please pray for hearts to be softened to the Spirit’s work and for God to bring restoration to our hurt and brokenness.

Sunday Service Times: 8:30am & 10:30am.
