FRESHWATER YOUTH

Freshwater Youth exists to Reach, Discover, & Disciple:

Reach: Inviting all students into a safe, encouraging, and biblical environment.

Discover: Discover who God is and who He created students to be through His Word.

Disciple: Help students deepen their personal relationship with God through small groups and building relationships, as we equip and send students to lead and confidently share their faith.

Wednesday night gatherings consist of:

• Game/connection time
• Great worship
• Break-out groups
• Relevant, challenging, age-appropriate messages. 

Also, watch for special events like camps, retreats, and concerts that are offered throughout the year. 

Doors open at 6:00 PM, giving students time to get checked-in, hang out with friends, and connect with their small group leaders. Students can play appropriate games on our Nintendo Switch, foosball, 9-Square, carpetball, and more.
At 6:30 PM, we officially kick things off! Students will participate in a large-group game, worship together, hear a biblical message, and then spend time in small groups that end at 8:00pm.
Our small groups are separated by grade and gender and are led by caring adults who want to know your student—not just teach them.

When your student registers, as long as their parent is connected to their profile, parents get added to a list where they will receive a monthly newsletter via text message from the youth pastor on the first Wednesday of the month, along with weekly reminders and updates about youth group for the week.
We also encourage parents to reach out to the youth pastor anytime with questions, concerns, or anything that would help us better care for your student.

They go through an application process with the youth pastor and have to complete a background check. We highly value relationships between different generations, but your student’s safety is our number one priority.

We encourage students to bring their Bible to follow along with the message as we dive into Scripture every Wednesday.

When a student arrives for the first time, our leaders are ready to welcome them, help them get connected, and introduce them to other students. We'll help them find their small group and make sure they know what to expect. If they don’t register online, we can welcome them and get them checked in when they arrive!

From 8:00–8:45 PM, students in 9th–12th grade are invited to stay and spend
additional time together. This is a more relaxed opportunity for our older students to
hang out, build friendships, and strengthen relationships with one another.
We believe these relationships are an important part of helping students feel connected, supported, and known throughout their high school years.
