Provision // The Blood
What if the most shocking thing Jesus ever said was meant to draw us closer to Him?
This week we explored John 6:51-59, where Jesus tells a crowd to "eat His flesh and drink His blood." Talk about an anti-promo! But beneath this jarring language lies profound truth: Jesus is our daily bread, our soul's nourishment, and the new covenant that makes us children of God.
His blood doesn't just cover our sin—it adopts us into God's family. His flesh isn't just a symbol—it's the substance our souls desperately need every single day. And communion? It's our ongoing act of repentance, returning to the One who gave everything for us.
The Christian life isn't about producing perfect fruit through willpower. It's about abiding in Christ, staying connected to the Vine, and letting Him transform us from the inside out. Don't just modify behavior—let Jesus make you a new tree entirely.
